Booking

Before inquiring, please note the following:

• Conflict Check: Before a lawyer can speak with you, we are required by the law society to check our records and ensure that there is no conflict of interest, this is called a "conflict check."

• Consultation Fees: There is a non-refundable consultation fee of $200, tax inclusive, payable in advance of scheduling a consultation appointment of up to 1 hour.

• Telephone Appointment: As we are a remote firm, all consultations are via telephone, as are most client appointments. Video and in-person appointments are available to existing clients subject to facility availability and booking fees.

Booking a Consultation

If you would like to book a consultation, please take the following steps: 

Send us an email with full legal names, including previously-used names (ex. maiden/married names), of both yourself and the other party. Please do not include any other specifics of the matter at this point. Once we confirm that there is no conflict of interest, we will send you the next steps to confirm your consultation. 

Urgent Matters

If your matter is urgent, please let us know and we will try to find you an earlier time depending on availability. Urgent fees apply for any appointments or work required within a week. Urgent fees are subject to change depending on the urgency and nature of services required. At this time, our urgent fee for early appointments is an additional 50% of the usual fees.

Rescheduling your Appointment

We know that life gets busy, kids get sick, and sometimes we just need a mental health day.  We do, however, get lots of consultation requests and some no-shows. This is why our consultation fee is non-refundable. 

We are happy to reschedule your consultation call (for up to two times) as long as you let us know via email 48h before the scheduled appointment. We absolutely want to talk to you and will try our best to reschedule your appointment as soon as possible.

Between 48h and 24h before the scheduled appointment, we will reschedule your appointment, but with an additional 50% of the applicable consultation fee. If it is less than 24h, or if you have already rescheduled twice, a full consultation fee is required to book another consultation appointment.
